Re: RewardsWizard Just Launched

hi.. i'm taking it you've run your site past the mods/admin of exceem ?

if not.. bye..

and why introduce a site but not tell us about the offers etc

why does your terms and conditions go from 3 to 3 to 4 ??

why come onto exceem.. advertise a new site but not offer any free greens.. have you got seen the likes of other networks on here and how they go about becoming exceem members friends.. sorry but there's nothing about you that has encouraged me to sign up to your site one bit..

Re: RewardsWizard Just Launched

Hmm Mr Jackson, very tempting to sign up for a PS3 for only 25 refs, or a wii for just 15...NOT.

Also, you do know that the 60GB Ipod Photo has been discontinued! Not even going to read through your T&C's! Links removed and please do not post any more links until the site has been approved by the Admin!

Cheers

I think maybe you should reconsider offering money by paypal transfer, like most of the other networks have - because it is against paypal T&C

Re: RewardsWizard Just Launched

And I can see when you "lunched" your site at RewardsWizard Just Launched - Frugallerforum a few hours ago you actually had the PS3 for 50 referrals!!

If MissyS hadn't told you about it you wouldn't have lowered the refs would you?

I think you definitely need to do alot more research before you relaunch your site!

Cheers

Hmm, so let's see if I've got this straight.... This guy decides to open a site up on another forum and is pointed towards exceem by someone who obviously has quite a bit of knowledge.

He offers a PS3 for 50 refs and later states that if he lowers that to 18 refs, he'll lose £40 so that shows how much profit he'd make on 50 refs (having said that, anyone silly enough to try for 50 refs for a PS3 deserves all they get).

He changes dollars into pounds but doesnt change the amount, changes a few things on his terms etc and then registers with exceem to tell us all about his wonderful new site.

It's laughable really but I think his site should be deleted from his posts and not just his link as I wouldnt want anyone taking a look at it then signing up.

Re: RewardsWizard Just Launched

right, for the time being this site wont be on eXceem

I think its obvious that there has been no thought behind the setting up of this site, when I first saw it, it had £10 paypal for 1 ref, while for 3 refs you could get £25 - doesnt add up

Looking at the site now, the 30gb iPod is 14 refs (amazon price £148) Nintendo wii 11 refs (amazon price £180) sony playstation 3 15 refs (amazon price £420) xbox 360 elite 16 refs (pricing details not yet released)

So lets compare the iPod and the PS3, ipod 14 refs ps3 15 refs, yet a price difference between the 2 of £272 for just 1 ref difference - I can understand variances of around £40 but thats a bit of a huge gap.

Jon, in my time here I've seen a lot of these threads where someone announces a new site and the thread gets closed, and we usually dont see the original poster again, or his site. I think though this one has to go down as the worst one yet in terms of not having a clue.

It's really sad that any old person can just buy a script and change a few details for what amounts to pennies and then think they are younger versions of Alan Sugar and think that there are enough mugs out there that will make them rich and the chances of any items being sent out are remote.

I think also if I was one of the hard working legit site owners, I would despair at these threads

Re: RewardsWizard Just Launched

the thing is, its the sites that are not run properly that ruin the reputation of the whole scene in general, and it is the main cause of there being a lack of decent offers, as most advertisers only see the horror stories etc

(for example another site that was not given permission to advertise on eXceem has appeared to close down last week, now how many customers and potential advertisers has that given a bad image of freebie sites to?)

[edit]
appears the 30gb ipod has now changed to a 80gb ipod, but even then the price/ref amount of the other products doesnt add up[/edit]

Arctic - i couldn't agree more - I try not to get involved in these debates as i think it looks unprofessional, but i really despair when i see yet another basic RAFS site with a crap identikit put on it and blatantly no business plan or clue about marketing in the slightest.

Jon - I couldn't agree more, it's amazing how many advertisers turn us down because of this. I just hope that the genuine sites help provide enough good quality leads (which is why people can't talk about cancelling offers etc.) that advertisers still see this as a viable way to market their product.

For everyones information i'm never going to close this site down, yeah it has it's faults which is what i'm sorting out now. I'm getting a custom design done to make it look more attractive and also i'm sorting out the refs count. Until then the site will not be advertised on here or anywhere.

When the site is ready to be re-released i will be contacting jon for his approval (sorry for not contacting him beforehand i did'nt know i had to)

I'm also doing alot of research with the items/refs to make sure they are perfect.

So until then everyone can just cool down, yeah it was my mistake to advertise it earlly, but does'nt everyone make mistakes sometime in there lives. So stop ranting and raving over my mistake.

Chris

There have been quite a few new sites being launched recently by people who haven't got enough experience of freebie sites to know what to expect, and if you go into this blind you are much more likely to fail.

One of the main things I think people overlook is the amount of capital that is likely to be needed; I believe most advertisers pay 2 months in arrears, whilst people tend to start qualifying for gifts in the first month. Obviously this means you have to fund any gifts in the first couple of months out of your own pocket and even when the money starts rolling in, it will barely pay for the gifts that you have to give out if your site is expanding (which every network owner hopes will happen).

It is in everyone's interests on eXceem that new sites don't fail and, although it might seem like everyone's having a go at you, there have been some good points made which you will be able to take on board to make your site better.

Hi,

I will be taking all these comments in hand to make the site better.

As for start up capital i have thought that one through, i do have a budget for the first few months which would cover the costs of the gifts.

I've also got my team of designers and coder to come up with a better look for the site and the network.

For anything to work people have to come down hard on someone to point out the errors, so i do appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for there comments, every comment counts.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't think Anyone on Exceem will sign up for a start, as there is many other GOOD sites already out and Trusted, like Giveaway, R.I FreebiesJeebies are new but they have had a HUGE impact to the freebie scene, they did everything right as well, Which sounds to me like you haven't..

Your site wont last Long !!!
