Sub-forums

This is a discussion on Sub-forums within the Non Supported Networks forums, part of the Not yet eXceem supported networks category; No disrespect to FreebieJeebies but I'm surprised that they already have a sub-forum whilst we still have to post everything ...

True, you could hardly call Dunstan a stranger when Real Incentives started so why didnt they get a sub forum?

Re: Sub-forums

Networks have to submit certain information to Jon and pass certain criteria. Don't know what exactly.

Freebie Jeebies have given all the info and passed the criteria. So eXceem are satisfied with this network.

If other networks have not given the info required then they are not going to get a sub forum on eXceem.

I hear what you are saying but it makes no sense. All we are talking about is how the forum is organised

Yes but, by giving sites a sub forum, it somehow constitutes eXceem support them. So if they then go tits up (so to speak) people will blame eXceem. We can not give every new site a sub forum (e.g. MrFree)

So from now on, to get a sub forum Network owners have to provide enough details to satisfy us that they are not in it for a quick buck. They will then get a sub forum. Doesnt guarantee they will not end up failing but we have done all we can and got contact info etc.

Hope that makes sense.

Even more reason why a two week old site shouldn't have one

Or is the fact that both are in "Non Exceem Supported Sites" enough of an explanation

All good banter but who am I to argue. Probably best to lock the thread Matkavs before I get infracted

Re: Sub-forums

Furbs - although we have a subforum, it is still within the 'New and unsupported networks' forum so i don't think it gives anyone the impression that we are supported. We are exactly what it says on the tin new and unsupported.

I supplied Jon with all the security info required to get a subforum, we are listed on the data protection register and the whois database. If, god forbid, we did go 'tits up' to quote from Matkavs , then exceem have plenty of information to track us down.

Anyways, hopefully that wont happen and we can go on to become one of the supported sites.

Re: Sub-forums

I was talking to ash regarding this the other day, and apparently he had asked to have one before, but the request was turned down. And if I'm not wrong matkavs lives on the same street, or something like that, as Ash, so if they ever went 'tits up' we would know where to go!

Re: Sub-forums

Well obviously FJ have provided enough info to get a sub forum but as they said they are still unproven.

So i don't see what the problem is..

As it is just a small subforum.

Re: Sub-forums

yes, but if you read between the lines in the above posts, realincentives apparantly asked and were refused.. would it have been more suitable to say... yes if you can provide me with the following info?

Re: Sub-forums

If they can provide the admin with all the required info then I expect they will indeed get a sub forum. I'm not directly involved in this sort of thing, but the admin have their reasons for allowing some and not others.

Depends on how long ago he asked.

AFAIK, the new system hasn't been in place that long (correct if I'm wrong staff.)

You are right. A few weeks at most since the new system was implemented.
