Changes coming in how eXceem rates networks

Due to recent events, we have no choice but to bring in extra measures in allowing networks to :
a) advertise their services on eXceem
b) before they get promoted to eXceem supported status.

When we have finalised the changes we will first let all network owners aware of this, before any more changes are made.

Sounds good to me, it's a shame there's a bad aura around all the new networks now because they could be perfectly worthy but it's good you're making limitations.

Re: Changes coming in how eXceem rates networks

Is it such a big deal to write a post on a thread that is a bit old?
Obviously, there is an increasing number of threads, posts and members. It can be hard to keep up with everything.
It feels like there is a lot of pressure about doing the 'wrong thing' on exceem these days.
Sorry if I sound a bit moany, but I've read a lot of posts about this kind of thing lately.

I agree... there seem to be so many Mod wannabees who take it upon themselves to chastise newbies and oldies for that matter... it is making the site very unwelcoming for new users....

some sites appreciate people bumping old threads instead of making an unnecesary new thread

Re: Changes coming in how eXceem rates networks

If I have something relevant to say, I search for a similar old thread to post it in. But the thing that annoys some of us, are irrelevant posts in threads which have been answered or in closed competitions. If someone has something relevant to say, there shouldn't be any problem with that.

Re: Changes coming in how eXceem rates networks

Aye, it's more the ones where people just say something like 'thanks' or 'that's useful'! Posts that really don't add anything to the thread, but seem more like spamming! Anything else is fine!

Re: Changes coming in how eXceem rates networks

Just a little bit of light hearted humour lol
But, i do agree with with Emma regarding useless comments
However, i also agree with you Biggad that the majority of forums welcome the 'Bumping' of threads!!!
It's obviously down to the admins
