| MJ lady with maracas | Server MoveSometime between now and midnight tomorrow I will be moving eXceem to a new server. I have done a trial run with another website I host on the existing server and downtime was for around 10 mins so I doubt you will notice! Will update this post with any updates

| MJ lady with maracas | eXceem is about to be turned off, to let me create and download a full backup (just in case!) then will be transferred to the new server. If you don't allready do so, I would suggest using OpenDNS | Internet Navigation And Security

| Super Moderator | So has it just been a move to a new server or have there been updates too? I've been away for a week and was shocked earlier when I had a SQL error saying I couldnt get on eXceem - I wanted to see what I had missed, only like 1500 posts to sift through...

| MJ lady with maracas | Is it safe to assume that no one is having any issues with the new server?

| Super Moderator | It's always been 10! And all I noticed was that I couldn't log in from Tapatalk a few days back... that's it!

| MJ lady with maracas | I would guess the iPhone may cache dns queries for speed? As for search it was meant to be 10 but must have set it to 9 for some reason a while back

| Mini Mac | Not sure if this has anything to do with the Server Move, but when I try and go on this thread - http://www.exceem.co.uk/forums/gener...referrers.html - I get this error message : Code: Warning: require(/home/exceem2/public_html/forums/60210-referrers.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/exceem2/public_html/forums/vbseo.php on line 1562 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/exceem2/public_html/forums/60210-referrers.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/exceem2/public_html/forums/vbseo.php on line 1562 |

Jon: Ye might want to give MySQL a quick poke and see if the4 topic exists. A single query like SELECT [field1],[field2],[field3] FROM [TableName] WHERE [topicid]=60210; might do the trick. On a more pressing note about this fault: That error message gives my Hacker's eye a bit of information about the structure of the server itself, including part of the file structure and a possible user account name that could be probed for attempts at a remote logon. Personally, I'd advise changing those errors to dump such info into a log file on the server instead of echoing it onto publicly readable output. The info I've seen is safe with me...But other parties could find it useful for nefarious purposes. Incidentally, I get a safer and more sanitised error when I try to access http://www.exceem.co.uk/forums/general-freebie-chat/60210-referrers.php...It might be an idea to set the order of page service to PHP before HTML in that case. | Mini Mac | Looks to me like a line's missing in the .htaccess or httpd.conf/apache2.conf file, which rewrites the forum URLs into SEO-friendly .html URLs. |
