im not sure. it just seems like a non practical version of the ipod touch to me - then again i havent tried it out - anyone have an ipad ?

Very true, it's got technology worse than the iPhone 4 too. That's bad. It may have potential in a couple of years but the hardware and software it has atm makes it a 100% rip off and one for the people with moneyu to burn or apple fanboys.

I've had a play around with the iPad in an Apple store, and - Though I agree with DJ Fonti's sentiment above - I can see it's potential as being a combination eBook reader and tablet system for Apple users. Talking of price though, it might work out cheaper to buy a seperate ebook reader and pocket web browser.

Personally, I wonder whether an iPhone with an additional pull-out flexi-screen might be a better option? The downside to that would be that flexiscreens might be a bit too fragile for such use in a mobile device...
