Submit to your overlord Al Gore! So we turn off a background or a lightbulb and that somehow offsets the co2 produced by china and india? And besides man made co2 isn't adversely affecting the earth, its all propaganda - the earth has climate cycles and its natural. Please tax the amount of carbon we use powerful overload government to help save mother earth. It's just another cult and you can't have any reasonable discussion with climate change fanatics.

its my server, so I chose to switch it off

edit: i also had a test to see if my rankings would drop if my site was off for 2 weeks. i'm still number 1 for free gadgets so 1 hour wont make a difference

I don't buy into all of this earth hour business, 1 hour a year and the only people who really join in are the countries that create a minute fraction of the problem.
I don't need to turn my lights off for an hour every year, I actually have all the lights off in my house for 18 hours everyday, from when I go to sleep all the way through to when it gets dark.
The first thing I did when I moved into my own house 4 years ago was to change all the bulbs over for the energy saving ones, I have done my part right there as at the time they were expensive and even now the light quality is pants but I do it to reduce CO2 and save money.

As for Jamie getting offended at being called stupid, you might want to notice the HA at the beginning which would tell you it is a joke and the smiley at the end reiterating the fact that he was saying it all in jest.

As natural as the seasons!

Essentially what Al Gore and all the global warming crew is trying to do is change nature

naturally yes but in the last 200 years "man" has added to the emissions which has unnaturally added to this natural cycle.

Ok but thats minimal. Volcanoes in the past have polluted more CO2 than man could ever hope to and haven't you forgot earth's warming in relation to the sun's activity. That has changed substantially in the last 200 years. Things are hotter/cooler on different planets throughout the solar system at different times but that's not due to man's CO2, its due to the sun.

And hasn't anyone noticed that the emphasis from 'global warming' has been changed to 'climate change'?
