That has changed substantially in the last 200 years. Things are hotter/cooler on different planets throughout the solar system at different times but that's not due to man's CO2, its due to the sun.

And hasn't anyone noticed that the emphasis from 'global warming' has been changed to 'climate change'?
have you noticed that there a lot less plant life than 200 years ago and even if you dont believe in climate change, what about fuel conservation? We need to conserve fuel as fossil fuels become more scarce. We need to conserve what we have and work towards renewable sources of energy. I participated in earth hour more for fuel conservation than anything else personally. You may chose to close your eyes and pretend theres no problem but we wont.

I do happen to read a lot on the subject because I know that global warming is just another pretext for the government to take our rights away.

I could probably spend all day citing sources but before you claim that there is a problem, maybe you should be 100% you've got your facts right. There are two sides to the argument.

SelfSilent has a spectacular aura about
I totally agree with Adam, soil samples have proved that the earth has had 10 times the CO2 levels in the past. Did you know that although plants and trees breathe CO2 and release O2 during the day while they photosynthesize, in the night they actually do the opposite.
The planet is self healing and we are a parasitic virus. As technology goes on, more efficient electrical good are made, better batteries, better solar cells. By the time oil runs out we will be able to function on solar energy with no problems. Once the fossil fuels are gone there won't be any CO2 output and the earth will repair itself.

Global warming and climate change is just another vehicle that the governments are using to rid us of our hard earned money.

Waste of time these things, **** all ever comes from them.
Bleat all you like, until some major disaster occurs which is a direct result of global warming etc, then no fooker except tree huggers and muppets who post this sort of crap will stand up and listen.

The earth has natural cycles what we do has little impact.

my friends are the same way. saying "im just one person, i cant make a difference so why bother."

however im always complaining about how there arent enough recycling bins at uni and no one cares. taking that viewpoint will just make it worse for peoples perceptions of climate change, making earth hour useless.

id say every little helps. (i dont like tescos btw :P)
