Update! Have recieved a press release from the Boffer team, with some news on some free software they are giving away this week, take a read of the full thread to view the release (have not put it in this post since it would take over the front page!)

Boffer sells only one product a day, which is sourced from bankrupt and excess stock, at a bargain price. The offer goes live at midnight and remains on the website till all stock is sold or until 23.59 the following evening.
Products regularly sold on the popular site – which is now the 1500th busiest in the UK and receives 30,000 hits every night – include laptops, iPods, digital cameras and LCD televisions.

Rasul added: “Consumers trends show that people are now avoiding the high street and doing their shopping online in a bid to tackle the effects of the credit crunch.

“Since its launch in September Boffer has captured the imagination of the online consumers through its diverse product range and knock-down bargain prices.

“We offer high-street products at a fraction of the high-street price and people looking for a better deal should make Boffer their number one online shopping site.”

The promotion will be available to anyone who is a registered member before 11.59 February 14th 2009.

The Free software will be available to all registered boffer members at 11.59pm on Friday 14th February.No Purchase necessary.

They aren't the most professional of websites.
On their last release detailing the sell off they said it started at 25:59PM
Then there was the whole fiasco about what you had to do to be able to get the free software. First they said you had to buy a BOC to get this £49.99 product for free.
Then once all the BOCs sold they changed the rule so only people with certain amount of kudos points could enter, then that was scrapped too. Then the price of the freebie went down to $49.99 but in the promotional info it said $59.99. Then it turns out to be a bit of software that won't work on my iMac anyway.

I bought a few things from them in the sell off, some things turn up quick, some slow.
If you see something you want it is well worth getting, just don't read too much into what they say anywhere on the site.

Since the sell off finished there hasn't been 1 decent thing on there.
I hope it picks up as I'm sick of the pound shop rubbish they seem to be pumping out at the moment.

I've never had a complaint about anything I have bought from them though.

They work in a similar way to pound shops, buying end of lines in bulk from traders who cant shift the stock, or warehouses owners who want a warehouse emptying yesterday, I was involved in a clearance in a old job and it was rather fun seeing what bargins were chucked out!
