I think a automated system for the total would be good, users could simply input their own items/value + maybe tick boxes for common items and the total could be automatically calculated and displayed on the home page. Submissions could be verified against threads in the "i got my free item" section. Not sure how hard this would be, but would be possible...

 | Re: Nearly £200,000 of gifts received!I don't think we will ever know the exact amount of freebies that members have got because not all members choose to post in the "I got my free item" section, for various reasons. Even at £200,000 this amount is staggering and I doubt that the admins ever thought such a figure would ever be reached. Is it worthwhile publicity if the admins released this figure to national papers etc?
