Nice idea but unfortunately I think far too hard to implement, could lead to all sorts of trouble if there is a real dispute...

Good idea in pratice, but it would mean I would have to spend more time to manage it, and since I would be keeping money in deposit for people would mean more paperwork etc to ensure the money is "ring fencened" to prevent it going astray

I do welcome any sugestions to improve the trading so please feel free to let me know

another suggestion is when you post on your own trade, it can be quite annoying to get a pm + email telling you this.

is there anyway to remove this, so you only get notified when other people post on your trade?

well even though you are not allowed to ask for someone with low/0 feedback to go first, from what i understand, if they OFFER to go first, its fine. so that may be an option to consider if someone with high feedback doesnt want to trade with you for trust issues.
also id trust someone if i saw them posting in various threads relatively often, so if you get involved more other than just trading that may help as well.

Re: Change in trading policy

I for one dont like it. I cant trade even though I have positive feedback.

As a result I cant post on my current trade to update my tradee.

And therefore am breaking trading rules.

Stupid.

How about mixing all the ideas then-

charge £13 for exceem extra, using £3 for subscription and £10 as a trading deposit. This would allow exceem extra members to ask others to "go green first" for them as the other party can be refunded if it all goes pete tong.

Then when people unsubscribe from exceem extra they can get this money back if they haven't had any bad trades!

Re: Change in trading policy

Looking around and about this site I see that there are a lot of the more experienced guys (and gals) around who are going to be totally reliant on us "neewbies" for example I am only signed up to two networks and have only completed two trials.

My point is I can basically go green for most people on here and am genuine!

To see that people fear trading with inexperienced users is not surprising, but at the end of the day where are you gonna get your greens from?

Just a thought.....

Rob!

Surely that would require a lot more work and someone would have to pay charges wouldn't they for money to keep being transfered ? and what about ppl like myself that are never gonna bother we trades, why should i pay a £10 deposit for something I know I'll never use ??

I think simply that new traders should go first to get reputation. Then it should be done on reputation. Lowest goes 1st.

Quite a good idea, but there is more chance of new people getting scammed by new-but-not-quite-so-new members.

I'm all for that idea personally, but then I guess my view is biased.

Eek. 5 days, I'd best get started elsewhere. I do see how it benefits the overall community though. See you in five days I guess.

Re: Change in trading policy

I supose it deters people from being that bother to have to make 5 posts first before they start scammimg to rip people off.

I have been scammed on another trades website & now think twice, especially when i get a trade message sent to me out of the blue without even posting !!!
