Playstation 3 goes on sale on Thursday

Just in case you live in a cave, the latest console, the Sony Playstation 3 goes on sale tomorrow, Thursday 22 March 2007

Many of the eXceem members wont have to queue at the shops in a effort to get one as they will be able to wait in their own homes, waiting for Mr Postman to deliver it!

Now we will finally see which console is the "winner" out of the PS3, wii and xbox 360

Ive only used the 360, and it has the clear advantage of being microsoft powered, the future of the console is also as a "home entertainment box" (well I think that) and since it will be able to link to windows the most effectivley it has to be the winner

Ive got an Xbox 360, so im siding with that but even now, the graphics are still better on the 360 and imo the 360 controller is more comfortable.

The media capabilities are excellent!

If you have a HD tv, download the sample HD videos from Microsoft and stream them to the 360, its fantastic.

It will take at least 6 months, even a year till developers can use the full power of the PS3 and until that time, games which are available on both platforms are developed for the 360 then ported over to the PS3, Assassins Creed for example - seen the demo, its on the 360.

i don't get it- the xbox 360 elite is just a gimmick like the siler ps2 or the white psp- it doesn't really do all that much, just makes up for the things that should have been included the first time around.

the main thing it shud have which it does not is the damn HD-DRIVE built in apart from that its useless 120gb you can prob get the for the first one in about 6 months

yer, exactly. I cant see why they dont sell 500GB hard drives anyway...they only cost around 100 quid anyway. It'd be sweet if you could plug in a PC HDD like a WD raptor SATA II drive or somehting.

Paying 100 for 100GB and a new paint job is too expensive to even consider!

i can't see why they didnt put an HDMI port in it in the first place. I havent done much research on the xbox, does it have a DIV port for PC monitors or anything!?

you can get a Cable of ebay that lets ya play it on ya PC monitor in HD

Its got a VGA cable output. Most LCD's and Plasmas can support this
