What a cop out - so not happy!

I got a friend to be a referal on shufflemyfreegadget and she completed the AMEX NECTAR offer on 6 July 2007 - and its meant to take 5 business days to credit - this did not happen - so i told her to send a support ticket and that got answered over the weekend and the reply is below. Im quite annoyed that:

1. it wasnt tracked to begin with
2. why does my friend have to complete another offer when she clearly already has done one offer

The whole thing is just ridiculous and if offers arent being tracked then there is serious problem with the site which needs to resolved as genuine people are completing offers and not being credited for it - who's to blame?

I just know that in future I will think twice before i used myfreegadget netowrk again!

Thanks for contacting the myfreegadgetnetwork support team.

We have contacted the sponsor and are currently awaiting a reply. If you see no update to your account in the next few weeks then unfortunately your offer completion has not been tracked. If this is the case we would suggest you complete one of the many other offers we have listed.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

The myfreegadgetnetwork Team

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

Guys,

At the end of the day tracking is out of our control. There are many many reasons why offers are not tracked but none of these are down to us. We pass the sponsor all the required information and this is tested regularly.

Things that prevent offers being credited are cookie blockers, ad blockers, visiting the site directly (or via another site) before visiting it from us etc etc etc

We'd love to be able to give credit to all those people who believe they have completed the offer fairly but at the end of the day if we are not paid by the sponsors we can not pass this on.

Some offer credits do take a while to show, then we contact the sponsor, again if they do reply this can take a while.

There is nothing more we can do to ensure 100% of offers are tracked as its out of our control.

We have in the past provided offer credits to people who claim to have completed an offer, but we can not do this in every case otherwise we'd go bust and that's not on the cards.

Regards,

Lewis

I suppose if the thing hasn't tracked mfg aren't going to get paid for it so they would be losing out if they just gave you the green for your troubles. I can understand it is reaallly irritating but if it really isn't their fault there's not much anyone can do about it.

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

i dont think myfreegadget network is to blame for offers not crediting properly. It happens on all networks not just myfreegadgets network so you cant really blame them.

And for giving out a free greens for people that complete the offer properly but didnt get tracked would be crazy as then all networks will have to close (as lewis said) down because of loss of profits and i for one dont want that to happen and im sure many people on Exceem will agree

I don't see why a proof of offer completion isnt enough on this network like giveaway etc. all it does is prove that this network is 50% good 50% scam(yes i know that sounds harsh but if you do what's asked and then never get credited, with no PROOF that the offer has been NOT been tracked, then let's face it you can do it up how you like but you're still being scammed and losing money/wasting your time) and that it's probably safer not to use the site unless you have money to burn

All networks will pass on any information regarding a "no credited offer" to the advertiser, and do the best to prove the point (after all it is in their intrests to maximise any potential income to them)

If the advertiser turns around and says no payment, then its no payment - some networks will take a cut from their profits and just give the credit anyway others don't, from what I can tell around 25% of networks will do this and give a credit when they don't get paid for it. I don't expect any network to do this, and them doing this is purlly a gesture of goodwill on their part.

well in that case the advertisers are pretty much scamming the networks-the system really needs to be looked at, it seems really shoddy

Probably because they know what we'll say when they tell us that we were never going to be fairly dealt with anyway because there was a 'fault' in the system

This is a joke. I seriously doubt that we are ever going to get our stuff and ever find out why. I think the service here has been appalling and wouldnt recommend MFG to anyone.

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

From my understanding some advertisers are late with the "approved reports" while they will have sent a pending status to the freebie sites, this does not mean the offer has been completed fully.

As i said elsewhere, its up to a network to decide if they want to credit a offer based on the advertiser saying its credited, or if they want to credit and take the risk, by crediting on pending status, or with sufficient proof.

In my eyes both are acceptable, some businesses will want to take a risk to potentially make bigger returns, while others take the cautious route and may make less but its guaranteed.

Take the effect of the American sub-prime mortgage market, and how the effect that has had on the world's stock markets due to some banks "taking a risk"

If all of your referrals completed their offers properly and there was no attempt to "play the system" then you will get your free gift

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

Jon, I understand what you are saying but I am not waiting for greens. I am waiting to be verified and on their site it says it will take a maximum of 30 days. It has been more like 50 now! And now they wont even give me an update as to why it is taking so long.

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

In my case I am simply waiting to have my own offer showing as complete, seeing as I spent £10 and played through it. Followed the link from myfreegadget, my cookie settings are correct. What else was I supposed to do? I have recieved no help and virtually no communication- why should i complete another offer? I already have and how am I to know they wont claim that this one hasnt come through either? Its a joke, PLUS i have gain them more referrals than were needed for the item i selected. And yet they still wont send me green, even bearing this in mind, and i end up with NOTHING. How, exactly, is this 'fair'????

Re: What a cop out - so not happy!

Guys:

I have dealt with advertising networks for quite a while and the chances are it is not the networks fault, their links stay identical each time just changing the tracking number for each unique user (so they can tell who completed the offer).

When an offer becomes "untracked" as it has not shown up for more than 5 working days, even as a 'pending', then it is a pretty safe bet for the network to submit a "no offer credit report" to the advertiser, most advertisers take about 30 days to confirm or deny an offer as being completed. Some, like "The GM Credit Card" never seem to get paid. I have had one personally go missing and never be credited, Richard @ FreebieJeebies has been trying to get credits back from them for ages and they just do not reply.

To to perfectly honest, it is not fair on either the network or the end user (you). The network will gain a bad name for not sending out gifts and crediting when users have completed offers. On the other hand if they do send out gifts even when the advertisers do not pay, then the network will lose a lot of money.

I ended up getting 360 Giveaway atleast 14 greens as they kept on: reversing or putting those accounts on hold. (I do not know how many never tracked! As I have not been able to get replies from all my referrals).
