Thanks, windows live is having problems right now but it's telling me it'll sort it out.

Also must have really annoyed Ken Burton the oter day, was playing with Joe, and changed my clan tag to KEN, wondering if he cares?

Not bothered about HD, and the hauppage is a capture card which is rubbish for me, my PC and PS3 are 6 miles away from each other.

Looks good actually, decent price, good reviews. The other thing is that it seems to have good compatability with discs which should help you out - mine only takes certain formats.

But yeah, looks good. If you want ti record in HD i would still recommend the Haupagge, but this looks like it would do the job very well.

    No problem.
The DVD recorder I use is a pretty old one: a Sony DVD RECORDER RGR-GXD500. Pic: http://www.stegen.com/images/sony_rdr-gxd500resize.jpg

I use dvd -rw discs from sony, and record in SP quality - gives good image quality and decent recording length.

The converter software I use to get editable/youtube files is called Handbrake:HandBrake Great piece of software, free and has loads of presets for putting on to an ipod etc.

Its an OK setup - If i were playing in HD all the time id be tempted to get a HD PVR like joewarne has, but i only rarely get to play in HD. As the DVD recorder I have is quite old, you could probably pick up something better and cheaper off ebay/amazon.

    Hope this helps.
