Has anyone bought anything of amazon recently?

Im sure there is something wrong with their system, everything has very long delivery dates compared to normal. For example, i went to buy 'Brain Training' which is apparently in stock, its normally dispatched the same day and arrives in 2-3.

I ordered it two days ago to get here before the weekend and it still didn't say dispatched this evening - infact it had an estimated delivery date of a weeks time.

hmph. so i cancelled it.

anyone? just me?

Did you go for free super saver delivery? That would explain it. Also, they tend to over-estimate the time it takes to deliver. Can you cancel if it's been dispatched?

I had 3 different computer related items in my Amazon basket the other day and the total came to over £40... I thought "Way Hay! Super-saver delivery here I come!" (I really do think like that, honest).

When I actually went to check out the 3 items were coming from 3 different suppliers and so I couldn't get super saver delivery and the postage for the 3 items combined would have cost me over £10. Needless to say I didn't buy them from Amazon and I'm not happy with Amazon at all. If you order from one site there should be one postage cost and if Amazon can't supply it themselves then they shouldn't sell it!

You can't cancel once dispatched, but they werent in any hurry to dispatch it anyway. It was super saver yes, but i have used that option for years and never had an issue..

Maybe its because i attched £10 worth of vouchers, it gets put further down the queue or something.. heh.

I know delivery is a bit bad at mo, sis waited for months for a Book for our JUDO Club then they said it was out of stock. Needless to say she wasn't happy. I don't rate them much at the moment, I hate to think what it's gonna be like aroung Xmas time.

Yeah as sis said i waited 6 months for a book for them to finally say No go we cant get it
I have had issues with the delivery but i get alot of FREE Amazon gift vouchers from various sources and i tend to look at it as something for nothing in the end anyway so i only tend to order DVD's and the odd pressie i'm in no hurry for i know i was screwing nesr my OH's b'day as i ordered him a GBA SP and a Game bothe about 6 weeks before his b'day and i recieved an email saying game was unavailable and so i ordered another game and i was panicking as the delivery date was saying it wouldn't be delivered till after his b'day.
Luckily i managed to get them just before and all was fine but i was panicking

I brought a book last week, and it was delivered before amazon even sent me the dispached email, maybee they are upgrading something and it aint working right

What i dont like about amazon is.... for example in my wish list it gives me a price for the item but this isnt even the amazon price, and when i click that item you see that the amazon price differs and the price they give you is something in the market place!

Just as an update...

Seein as my DS was taking so long to get here i thought i would reorder 'Brain Training'. It seems that a lot of places online are sold out of DS games, infact HMV was quoting a delivery time of 4-6 weeks! I ordered it two weeks ago anyway, still not despatched.

Im getting some rotten luck at the minute
