iOS5 Untethered Jailbreak

Looks like it's been done.. Hacker Pod2G managed to complete the long awaited untethered jailbreak on devices with new bootrom except devices using the A5 (iPad 2 & iPhone 4S) But anything else goes

He gave it to the DevTeam & ChronicDevTeam who put it into RedSn0w and PwnageTool.

I wasn't sure about it so i restored my iPhone 4 to remove the sn0wbreeze tethered jailbreak. Installed Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 and succesfully jailbroke my iPhone 4 untethered on 5.0.1

Note: This won't work for 5.0.0 You must update to 5.0.1. (Obviously use a custom firmware if you rely on an unlock)

As for the 2G i'm not entirely sure.. what firmware you got on there at the minute?

+Yup.. they will ALWAYS find something Apple leave open...

I just love the way i had my 4.3.3 jailbreak for a LONG time... I had jailbreak features like Camera button on the lock screen next to the slide bar etc etc... iOS5? Apple have made it official!

The jailbreak community are the guys giving Apple idea for the next firmware release

I plan to JB, though need to be 100% sure before I do (working in IT security and all that!) I have a colleague who will be on this like a shot so going to chat to him and see what he thinks, then probably get him to do mine

Apart from Installous and Appsync 5.0+

SBSettings - I'm guessing this is the most common jailbreak tweak.
Tab+ - More than 8 Tabs on Safari.
3G Unrestrictor - Tricks your iOS device into thinking it's on WiFi (can't fool every app though. Some of them are clever and know when your IP matches a mobile network IP. Appstore, Safari etc. works fine though)
Zephyr - A new one I got yesterday. It's very clever. I'll let you find out what this one does.

Cheers for that, got a few of my regular settings back (thank god I can turn on/off wifi quickly again!)

Tab+ will be very usual! Cheers, all working good... need to go to the gym now so will have to play later!

EDIT: Scratch all of that! DisplayOut is "cable only", DisplayRecorder isn't supported and "Veency" is clumpy!!
