Anyone likely to get one? Do you think that the freebiesites should offer it as a single green item???

Not a bad a idea i suppose, would need to get out of beta stage i presume.

Also it would need some sort of casing! Static electricity will kill it.

Totally worth the money! There's some other similar stuff out there too, I think.. Can't remember the name.. Will have to search around..

EDIT: Got it! It's named Cotton Candy. But damn expensive: http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2011/...ton-candy-fxi/

It's gonna be out for $200!

$200 is quite a lot! But does look pretty cool. Would be nice to have a computer like that run on your TV!

Yeah, on top of that, it runs Android (I'd die to get one similar to this) and has exactly the same tech specs as the Galaxy S II. Cotton Candy's got a 1.2 gHz Exynos processor with a gig of RAM and Mali-400 GPU. I think it would be worth it.

Anyways, I just noticed something. The FAQ of Raspberry Pi states that earlier versions of Android, that is earlier than 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), could be ported to it, if the Android community puts in effort.. Cool! An Android running PC for $35!!

That's basically it? So why the massive fuss over it?

Have you seen how small it is??!

It's going to be great for younger people learning programming. It's pocket size, it's cheap and it's got everything you need! I'm getting one just to play with!

You can't get down and dirty with the tech then! I know it's a bit like someone giving you a V8 engine and saying "there's your car, now go play" BUT that's part of the fun of it!

It's basically all you need for a standard pc, hdmi, usb 2.0 etc. Plug it in to any power source and you have yourself a pc (without the screen, keyboard or mouse) for around £20.
