Hmm odd, there never used to be a timer beforehand when i did it, you used to take the lollipop, watch the vid and then it will pop up with a 60 minute timer.

after the vid theres a 60 minute count down for something, but apparently nothing happens after its counted down. maybe its just something to keep people on the page ... god knows why tho?

i think people are getting confused with 'page load timer' and the timer after the vid? hence having a cross conversation ? maayabe?

Maybe the countdown after the vid is just a clever way to keep you on the page to improve rankings?

Improve rankings for what though?
It's not like there is anything for the owner to earn from on there. Could understand it if it landed on an affiliate page or something like.

i think it may just be a server waiting timer thing perhaps? i can see how it can be quite server intensive, and with 10,000,000 people liking it on facebook it must get a fair amount of visitors!

I always thought that if people spend longer on your website you would rank higher as people are spending time on your site.

Quite possible, not really that well up on this aspect to be honest.
Still curious as to why the guy want's people to stay on the site though, there is no incentive.
Unless he's going to build a killer rank on it and use it for something else once it's ranked well ?

Not sure to be honest but after putting time and effort into it, i would like some sort of reward afterwards, whether that's just promoting it and adding links after a large user base has been created. The page has 10 mil+ likes.
