   | Online PetitionHi All, Some of you may have heard that Virgin Media are planning to close the Liverpool Albert Dock Call centre in order to move the jobs to Swansea or India. I currently work in the centre and face being made redundant early in the new year. Could you please sign this petition to add your voice to the campaign to save our jobs. | I've signed it. Don't want to come across as a cynic, but having gone through redundancy recently, I don't think they'll pay much attention. We had our Union fighting our corner and they still went ahead with the redundancies. In a company I worked for in the past, when they decided to offshore data processing, they didn't care too much about the staff being made redundant. At the end of the day, it comes to cold hard cash. If it saves them money, then they go ahead with it. Granted, the customer service level will go down the plug hole, and in a few years they'll reverse their decision, but it won't make much difference to them now. I hope that it works out for you though. |

| Yeah, I know. I know a friend who works at a call centre for some company. His actual name is Anish, but his name for these kinda calls is Antonio... Most people try to find names similar to their original ones.. I don't really get why there's a need to change their names.. Though I know that many Indian names are really weird..
