My auntie was lucky I guess, she's lived in OZ for 40+ years and moved back to the UK last year... she'd have been right in the middle of this otherwise. Unfortunately I beleive she knows some friends affected by the floods.

Ironically, just before she moved homw most of her stuff in warehouse storage was destroyed by a fire!!

I live in QLD. I was up on higher ground though so me and my house is ok.

My bro emigrated october last year and lives in Brisbane, he lives on the coast where fortunately there hasn't been any flooding. However, he works in the centre and has been told to stay away until things have passed. Bit worrying really!
It's a terrible thing to happen to people, natural disasters like this. Just hope no more people have to die!
