iPhone vs Blackberry

Hey guys,

I am currently trying to decide whether to get a Blackberry (9700/9780 maybe) or an iPhone (3G/3GS/4) and I was wondering if you could help me out?

I will mainly use my phone for texting, calling, social networking, reading/sending emails, maybe a bit of gaming, probably taking some pictures and browsing the internet.

I like the durability, keyboard and the fact that I can actually afford the Blackberry / won't have to go on a 24 month contract; and I like the apps, safari and emails from the iPhone.

Any help?

Thanks

Just in the process of changing from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4

Love the iPhone, don't think I could have a different phone even if I tried!

The iPhone 4 is so much quicker to respond than the 3GS. I kept finding texting too laggy, but now it keeps up with my thumbs fine! God knows if I'll use Facetime, but the cameras are brilliant.

Personal after using the iPhone 4 for a day I'd say the only problem I have is that it's a bit square in my pocket, compared to the 3GS which fitted very snugly!

Blackberry definately. Typing on an iPhone is really annoying.

I can type so fast on the iphone! both landscape and portrait! Very responsive. It does take a week to get used to it though as you say.

Well I got an iPhone 4 now unlocked... so just asking Orange to send me a replacement sim card in microsim format to use... so just using my old 3GS contract (150mins, 250texts, 500mb + I have 4 assigned magic numbers and 3 waiting to be assigned! £25-30ish)

Bargain imo! Especially when you look at some of the contracts!

I loved my iphone 3gs, and I love my 4 even more, doubt I will ever go back to any other brand of mobile phones now.

My dad has just got a blackberry Curve 8520 and it's the cheapest, takiest phone i've ever touched. I've played on a few blackberry phones and tbh they are way too clunky/laggy for my liking.

I have had a blackberry storm for the last 2 years and loved it to bits. however I won an iphone in a competition with lucozade and decided to try it out and am not going back. IT ROCKS !!

simply because of the amount and quality of apps available as well as the possibility of j/b it, which opens it up even further.

Hmm, I appreciate that the iPhone is amazing, but it is so expensive and I hope to be going to uni next year so I cannot really afford to be on an expensive 2 year contract.

What do you feel satisfies my needs the most, the Blackberry or the iPhone?
