I have just booked my accommodation from June 30th to July 31st in NEW YORK!

I will be booking my flights as soon as I get paid (by either my work, or FJ!).

I am SO excited.

I booked my flights but not accomodation yet lol ! We are going in Oct for my birthday , not for as long as you though we only go for 4 days , seeing as you will be there for a long time you can give me some tips on places to go

I definitely shall do Claire. The accom we booked cost $1500 for two of us for the month, which is about £1050. The flights will cost us about £840 return so £420 each.

So all we need on top of that ~£1k each is living money and spending money - NOT BAD!!

I always thought it would be waaaay too expensive...

Anyway, I will be taking TONNES of photos (my suitcase is going to be full to the brim with SD cards by the time I'm coming back)!

what camera you got too? tap a lappy and just shift them over so you'll only need one SD card

I'll be dropping by in New York this summer after I finish working at camp and start travelling. Will probably be there for 4-5 days from august 26/27 - 31st which is when my return flight from New York is.

I'll be staying in some house/flate-share accomodation, for the first ten days will be at "A", and the other 20 days we'll be at "B" 43 W 118th St, New York, NY 10026, USA to 698 Pontiac Pl, Bronx, NY 10455, USA - Google Maps

I only have a Sony Alpha 200, but it is good enough for me. I probably won't bother with a lappy, but I may decide to.

We'll be there for a month, so we'll bosh out all the touristy things, as well as having a chance to sort of 'live' out there for a bit too, which should be nice.

i think we'll all be heading to the same touristy places. i think we should leave a mark or something which people will see / pick up on, like a sticker on a specific lampost or something ... lol.
