 | Yep, pretty much any career that has its own related and more vocation degree/a level/gcse would rather you took more 'solid' subjects. Lots of business economic finance people take philosophy. Lots of people take classics and then go on to do something completely unrelated but very successfully. Media studies / film studies / psychology are all seen to be pretty poor 'doss' A levels, and I'm sure there are others as well.
