Recently every night I see atleast one. I feel sorry for mods having to get rid of them over and over again.  |

| this can be stopped easy enough. ive said this before and ill say it again.. this forum needs some vbulletin mods installed to stop all this. it can be stopped but admin dont seem interested at all. it does my head in too coming here and seeing spammy stuff when in reality it can be solved with a few minutes of installing some forum mods. it really isnt that hard...... but admin is awol and dont seem interested |

The problem with this spam is it is humans posting it rather than spam bots, while IP blocking would be a option in reality that isn't effective as it would also affect 27 legitimate eXceem members. There are lots of vbulletin mods, while they may well do what they say, they also introduce side effects which can affect other areas of the forum. At most such posts are up for up to 2 hours, in the grand scheme of things is it really that bad?

| jon i wasnt digging buddy seriously. just saying there are mods out there that stop users/new users from posting urls and so on. once installed this will cut down alot of spam. i know from experience as im with other ofrums that use these very mods. it works otherwise i wouldnt keep suggesting it lol. |

| I still find the idea of having a few mini mods with the power of editing posts a good idea It is frustrating though. You know, when a mod isnt around and cannot get rid of posts...(I am taking in to account that the mods are real poeple ) |

| place a 24hr ban from posting to new members, if they really want to join they wont mind waiting 24hrs.

| In my opinion (if anyone cares), how many posts a day does exceem get and how many of these posts are spam posts? At the most 4-5. Most of these posts appear during the night and I delete them before I go to work at 7am if they havent been deleted before hand. Many of these posts have only been viewed a couple of times and not reported so many of the members wont even know what we are talking about. It may be a pain but its not exactly widespread and it's being managed, with the members help. The spammers dont gain anything from the posts as I wouldnt imagine our members would download the stuff they are trying to sell.
