Vodafone Vs T Mobile

My 2 contracts are up for renewal with vodafone. The best they can offer me is a HTC Tattoo for Free, Unlimited Texts and Internet with 300 free mins. It would cost £25 plus Vat for each contract.
The problem is, I don't want the Tattoo, I want the Hero. Voda no longer do the hero but T Mobile do, They have got a good offer on at the moment. Free phone, Unlimited internet, 500 text and and 900 any time mins.

My main question is, Is T Mobile any good or should I stick with Voda??

TIA

I'm on virgin but they piggy back the T-Mobile network, no issues with them

I'm with Voda at the moment but their service is pretty **** when you're indoors.

Why don't you hold off for a month or so and see if you can get the Nexus 1? It's supposed to be out on Vodafone in March/April.

The only thing I like about Orange is their advertising department kicks ass and they do Orange Wednesdays.

Though you can get 2 4 1 cinema tickets on student beans Monday to Friday so even that doesn't count for much.

Ive just been into town. I went to Phones4u, Carphone warehouse and T Mobile. T Mobile are still offering the best deals. They have the HTC Hero which is what I am wanting although I would love the HTC HD2 but I cant afford it at the moment.

If you were stood on top of a T-mobile transponder you wouldn't be able to get a signal.

I've just got the G2 (Hero) nice so far! Not really played with it yet though, just sorting things out with Orange.

Re: Vodafone Vs T Mobile

I've had my hero on Orange for a few months now. I chose them over t-mobile as they have a better 3g signal and better customer service.

I phoned the sales team direct and got the same deal that you mentioned above but with 500mb a month (which is more than enough) for 25 quid a month.

You should give them a phone and mention deals you'd seen and they'll probably match it. T-mobile have cheap deals to get you in, but if you Google about their service, you'll find bad reports.

I will give them a try too. Ive been on orange before and wasnt too impressed. That was along time ago though. I know T Mobile customer service isnt that good. My mates mrs used to work for them before they shut the call centre down. She is still on T Mobile but doesnt like the customer service, She said the signal has never been a problem.

I was on T-mobile for a year and hated it, the service was as crap as the signal!

Never been with Voda but heard they're OK.

But not as good as Orange! Been with them 6-7 years in total and love them! Plus their 3G coverage is second to none.

With the T-Mobile and Orange merger on the horizon I would go with one of those 2!

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the merger. It might not be as good as people are thinking, as Ofcom are investigating it.

OFT seeks review of Orange T-Mobile merger - V3.co.uk - formerly vnunet.com

I think a lot of the worries centre around how much coverage the merged network would have. I think I remember reading something about networks that get too big, have to offload some of their network to other operators. So in theory the T-Orange network should be fab, they might need to sell some of it to other operators (like O2 who are sh*t and have been warned about their 3G being rubbish).
