I reckon he means 'MAD' friday. As in the friday before xmas where everybody goes to the pub and gets absolutely wrecked.

Well this Friday I was gunna go the union for the end of term Xmas party... But it's £9 with an unheardof tribute band and Boone famous... Waste of time and money... So have steak and a bottle of red and an evening in with my girlfriend!

If you mean the Friday after, just before Xmas, I'll be off my trolly with the lads!!
