  | Which laptop?We're looking to get our 16 year old daughter a laptop as a crimbo pressie. She uses the PC for web and e-mail, MSN, social networking and watching movies and listening to/burning music. Also does a bit with Movie Maker and all the standard office stuff. Budget is ideally £300 but may stretch to £350 max. Any recommendations?

 | well, im just about to get a £500 laptop from FJ if you wanna know what that is... depends how much you want to spend EDIT: seen your edit... im not sure of laptops lower down, but usualy at that price you get a smaller screen, does she watch films on the laptop or hook it up to the TV ? | I'm not sure where you stand on refurbished laptops, but this looks quite good  I'm more of a Mac person myself so can't say for certain but the specs are decent.

| Yeah, first choice would have been a Studio Laptop from Dell Outlet but they can't order there.

| Yeah, I'm currently on the Studio 15, I had loads of extra bits and upgrades and it cost around £790, but it's a cracking little thing.
