Impact Whey Protein is what I was recommended, and have been taking for a couple of weeks now. I bought the strawberry flavour and would totally recommend it, the taste is spot on with both water and milk.

Make sure to also buy a large scoop and one of the blender bottles.

Impact whey protein - Protein powders | myprotein.co.uk
Mp max blender bottle - Accessories | myprotein.co.uk
Plastic scoop (large) - Accessories | myprotein.co.uk

Looking in to it, as in buying each product and carrying out rigorous tests along with varying workouts for a number of tightly controlled weeks?

Use myprotein and order yourself some Impact whey protein and some creatine monohydrate powder. Benn using it for ages now and swear by it!
both very cheap and very effective, it's top quality stuff. If you pm me i can give you a code for 5% off your first order mate.

All you need to do with creatine is take 5g a day with 500ml of water and the effects are great in my experience, When im on it my strength increases immediately and my training is alot more intense so i would deffinately recommend it.

pm me if you want any extra info.

I have to agree with robbo90 that creatine is very good stuff indeed. You just have to keep hydrated as it can cause cramps as it draws water to be stored in your muscles.

Have you looked at all in one stuff like Reflex One Stop Reflex One Stop 2.1kg
and mp hurricane xs Hurricane xs (2500g) - Mp formulas | myprotein.co.uk

As they have literally all the stuff you need and in the convienience (sp?) of one shake.

myprotein.co.uk - The Leading Online Manufacturer & Supplier of Sports and Nutritional Supplements ftw. I wouldn't shop anywhere else and the stuff there is spot on and mint and the best around looking around various fitness forums etc.

In fact what Robbo says I'm still waiting for a few products like creatine though, is part of the stuff i want from R-I

Oh and google Starting Strength if you're new to everything. Remember it is just protein and you will need to workout otherwise it will turn to fat.

Protein won't turn to fat, you will just crap out what you don't use. It's the carbs and fat you want to watch out for.

Just to add to my first post and the many others here about creatine, it really does work well especially if you take in alot of water during the day which you need to or else you will be cramping like no mans business. Ideally you dont want to put too much fat on just muscle, which is possible but does take time and hard work.
Creatine monohydride is what ive been using from myprotien, its beaut stuff

Gotta agree with the hurricane xs it is my favourite formula by a long way. great tasting, excellent ingredients and the results are brill. I only ever take it post w/o, taking it any other time like a regular protein shake is pretty pointless as the only thing you need throughout the day is regular protein not all the added extras. Gets expensive too if you take it alot as you have to use more of it than impact whey.

Taking protein is one thing though, sorting out a good training session and the rest of your diet is another ball game completely.
