I saw this on another forum, and they concluded that your hourly rate would be around £6.13 an hour!

lol, talk about deceptive advertising. This just sounds like a free national advert to visit their caves. Bet it only comes out around £6 an hour.

Here's my logic. It must be hourly being pro rata, when needed. They want the person to live there so 24hr day. I've taken off 25 days for holidays. 50000 / (340 * 24) = £6.13 per hour.
Cheers
Tom

Ye but you're not going to be working 24 hours a day. So still not bad.

Although, now that i've seen its pro-rata i'd be more worried about whether they may only pay you for the work you do, eg... say you worked 3 days over halloween and 40 days over all holidays = 43 days of work per year.

50,000 / (365 x 24) = 5.71
5.71 * (43 x 24) = £5,893pa

Either way i think we can agree that as soon as you mention 'pro-rata' it means they've cheekily (but not surprisingly) embellished the truth to get more applicants. Whichever way you look at it, aint nobody coming away from that mutha with 50 large.

Lol if you were a witch tho im sure you'd jump at the chance, as not only could you tell the other witches that you get paid to be a witch, but it would be your official job title - can u imagine filling out forms and putting "Current Employment: Witch" hahaha

Would like to see the government regulations governing witching in the 21st Century!

Is there a professional review board? Do witches have to fill in risk assessment forms before turning people into frogs?
