Mountain bike - Oiling Fork and Chain

I was just wondering if anybody would know, after hosing my mountain bike down would 3 in 1 be okay to use on the chain just for one day? I know it's not ideal, and I need to buy some lube but I need it working okay for tomorrow.

Also, is 3 in 1 okay to use on the fork? If so, what would be the best way to apply it?

Rep for help

WD40 would be better as that chases water away.

3 in 1 will be fine for a short period on the chain, I don't ride any bikes with suspension forks so cant comment on them

I also wd40 my chian after a wet ride if im not cleaning it on the same day, ive never had any problems with it, and ive always worn out a chain rather than it breaking.
