![]() | cjb.net is a bad ideaCan't recall who pointed me to cjb.net as a place where you can get a short url, but after giving it a try, I have abandoned it as whenever I visited my web page I was bombarded with popups for errorsafe. I know they have to raise revenue somehow to pay for their free hosting but it was drivng me nuts and I'm sure it would've done the same for anyone else. BTW - I posted about this a couple of days ago and wrongly maligned freewebs.com - so apologies if I alarmed anyone who uses that commendable site |

| iPod Nano 4GB | Re: cjb.net is a bad ideaTinyurl.com is ok but ppl can see your ref link once it is loaded i.e. it just redirects. I like cjb as it masks the url and since it is only $20 through paypal to stop the popups for a year then I reckon its worth it - esp as the hosting is free and uploading is really simple.... I thought d4a.com for redirecting was cool (no ads and masks the ref link) until yesterday it wouldn't load the page - won't get many greens if that happens! Won't be using them again as I don't want to risk down time. I found a new one called http://www.kickme.to/ which redirects. Seems really good because you can add as many domains as you like once you have signed up to an account instead of having to remeber separate details for them all like with cjb redirecting or d4a. You have all the domains right there ready to modify any time you like. It has no popups just a black bar at the top of the page with links to their services. if anyone discovers this one is down at any timeplease let me know! Danyelle |
