Hello,

I am looking to go into the stock market and have been discussing this for a while with my parents, as they think giving me money put into stocks and shares is a good idea!

Was just wondering if anyone on here has an online stock broker, if so what is there cost for completing a transaction?

And do they have a minimum spend (E.G. Can only spend more than £100 on shares)

Have you seen the program on BBC about it. It's on iPlayer at the moment. About 8 people given $1 million to trade. No previous experience.

It is fantastic - some of them are so crap at it

That retired guy buying instead of selling by accident. By the time he'd sold what he'd accidentally bought he'd lost £200. That was in the space of a few minutes.

Most sites have a trading fee or whatever, one site I joined said you had to pay 9 quid per transaction.

What site was it mate, as £9 sounds pretty good compared to some at £20 and £15!
