Did anyone see sky sports news last night??

I was at the gym and watching sky sports news and there was a story about a greek fan who ran onto the pitch during one of the games. Did you see?

Basically one of the players stuck his leg out and tripped the idiot up so the stewards can grab him and take him off the pitch. Next thing the ref books (couldnt see if it was red or yellow) the player for kicking him!!!

What is that all about!!!! Talk about a ref trying to make a name for himself i couldnt believe it!

I would have loved to see the post match interviews

Tried to find the clip on the net but no such luck

I dont think so... it was a story they were showing on there. I couldnt hear anything tho

It wouldn't surprise me to see UEFA discipline the referee. Well, that's what they should do anyway, but if they're anything like the FA...

Oh god, even another referee basically said that guy was a dick for doing that.

Can't remember his name who said it though, he's retired now and I think he was from Leeds.

jeff winter? I love the way most ex-refs suddenly want to be media experts/pundits after they retire but were always too frightened to speak to the media before.
