Stock libraries can be good, but they can be quite specific about what they're looking for. They usually get loads of the same type of shot, so then start specifying what they want and only taking those images.

If anyone's interested in photography, head over to the DSLR User website as it's really friendly and got a good forum. I'm on there with the same username.

Stock libraries don't really look for landscape photos like mine. And they usually pay very little. Red Bubble allows you to sell your photos, and I often have requests to sell via flickr, however this amounts to very little.

At the end of the day, to be a professional landscape photographer you really stand out from the crowd, because their are a lot of people doing it.

Check out JoeCornish Galleries to see what I mean by stand out from the crowd. Joe Cornish lives locally to me (in a village just a couple of miles away).

What camera are you getting by the way?

You should. He's probably one of the most respected out there, and if you're ever up in the North East, his gallery is in a place called Stokesley - I'd recommend a vist any day.l
