I googled exceem and on the 1st Page I Saw: (In Spoiler)

Its from the Grab4Free Forum, which I hadn't heard of before.
Pretty shocked

, but the mod guy seemed to think the posts were out of order and so did DimTim (I think) - which is good.

Just wanted to see what people thought of the posts on that forum, I personally don't think its justified... What d'you think?

The guy that is moning about eXceem is probably the one who broke the T&C and got banned..

I think exceem went through a stage where certain members were always slagging of newcomers but i haven't noticed that since i started viewing it again, but i never check intro threads or anything now so wouldn't know. Anyway it seemed to be like the more posts you had the more authority and respect you gained, sometimes that was quite bad, but anyway i think exceem's a great forum, some great people on here, and better than most forums and i only check 2 forums, this and TSR

And if it wasn; for excemm myself and many other members would not have got any wehre as near as much freebies as they have now like i would be £10k worse off if it wasn't for exceem, i dread to think what would have happened if exceem never made it or something! Besides back to the point at that forum is where all the banned members go, most of them nobs really who have scammed users or something on here.

There are also members who rub each other up the wrong way and flame each other at every opportunity. That is what piisses me off and makes me reach for mr baldy chicken.

I'm a noob but I took the time to read the forum rules and regs.

Sometimes people are just too keen to get posting without doing a little research beforehand!

I certainly haven't felt that I can't ask things for fear of being bashed.

I have said many times that "noob bashing" has to be stopped, and that I actually feel disgusted at how some people treat new members of this community. I am in a way glad that this has happened as it may make people think twice before being rude to newbies.

Hmm I'm either really, really stupid or I'm missing something. I think all of this "newbie bashing" business is blown way out of proportion, what would you class as newbie bashing ? Telling them, they need to rules or edit their sig ? I really need someone to explain to me, what you guys mean by newbie bashing...If someone joins the forum, and makes a couple of very valuable post, about SEO for example, willing to help people, you see people appreciating the post and thanking him and saying "what a great way to introduce yourself".

Trouble is, not a lot of people do that, and most of them just start posting useless crap to get their post count up, because they think that they'll be looked at more seriously if they have more posts next to their name...This is not entirely true, because I remember people like The Saint or Moviedrome being respected only days after joining, because they were posting meaningful posts straight away. It just doesn't happen too often, so people don't experience it as much
