Learning Japanese in England

Hey Guys

Bit of a crazy question for you but i have been teaching myself Japanese for a year now and i was hoping to join some sort of school so i can actually be taught by a teacher to help with my grammar and basically speaking another language with someone else helps the learning process

I live in Liverpool and i have checked everywhere for somewhere to learn Japanese, like an evening class and had no luck whatsoever

I can't go to university to learn it because i am currently studying IT in college, do any of you have any suggestions?

Appreciate it

Lee

You could probably teach yourself no problem.

Just get some textbooks and workbooks and work through them. Aim to learn a certain number of kanji every week and you'll be flying.

Have you looked on gumtree or craigslist? There is a section there for language swaps - so you find a japanes speaker who wants to learn English and go for coffee and speak in one language for 30 minutes then swap to the other one, that way both parties improve their language skills. I can't be bothered looking right now but keep an eye on it and maybe something will pop up.

Do you have any good online resources/games for practicing/learning kana?
