Exactly!

Mind you, I never buy albums, only tracks. Rarely is there an album where I like all of the songs - and usually I will only listen to one song over and over again for a while

iTunes all the way!

Peggy
I used to use iTunes but for 2 reasons stopped using it. 1) The sound quality is awful and 2) it's cheaper to buy tracks individually off Play.com and also it's higher quality at 256kbps and unprotected to use on any mp3 player.

About the 2000 CDs, F*** me, wow is all i can say!

Movies are downloaded just as bad as music, games aren't as common because you can get caught well easily for downloading games.

I also put enough money into the music industry by going to gigs etc, now, if I were in a band, I'd rather people pay £18 to come and see me, and then I'd be happy to give them the album for coming to see us! But that's when record labels come into play, that's why everyone should be an 'Enter Shikari'

As Samac said, most music is now 256kps and unprotected, or they are getting to that stage anyway...

How much are single tracks of play.com?

That's all very well, but the fact of the matter is that most people don't go to the gigs...

Are you telling me that you have been to see virtually (over 30%) of the artists whose music you have illegally downloaded?

I don't illegally download!

I have been to a lot of gigs mate... I will go to any gig to a band that I like, and that means going to Nottingham or Birmingham, and can toll up to cost around £50 - £60 a time.

The View
Little Man Tate
Funeral For A Friend
Gallows x2
Lethal Bizzle
Hadouken!
The Twang
Bring Me The Horizon
The Architects
The Verve
Fightstar
Alterbridge
Avenged Sevenfold
Paramore
Kerrang Tour w/ Fighstar, Madina Lake & Coheed and Cambria

That's who I've seen so far... and should be going Reading (if the tickets turn up) and going to Enter Shikari too.

OK. Fair dos... That is one hell of a lot of gigs for 16! (Some good music, some bad... - can't stand some of the heavier stuff, but paramore are awesome!... O and Coheed and Cambria...)

But you are an exception - most people who illegally download (which you don't ) haven't seen anywhere near as many people as you...

Just saying that your argument about paying for gigs may be true for you, but for the vast majority, its not an argument...

Just my opinion! And keep up the tours!

Peggy

I have no intention to stop

And Coheed were not that good Best gig there was The Gallows or Avenged Sevenfold

I wouldn't recommend Bring Me The Horizon especially when Oli Sykes (lead singer) starts TALKING in an American accent singing in one is one thing

i used to be affiliated through a rls grp.. and at the end of the day.. i found it more fun to be able to access the internet than have to hide out and stay away for about 6 months.. it just isnt worth it.. what would you rather.. spend time.. or spend a few quid

Its your choice.

Don't - I'm not ordering you too, and if you have seen that many gigs, then fine by me... Just the ordinary people that need to stop (you are extraordinary Schism!)

Too heavy for me - Avenged Sevenfold... nah.... can't take it!

Never heard of them - doesn't look like I want to though,

Peggy
