Why is it when you move, you always underestimate how much stuff you have? I left my parents house with just a car boot of stuff when I went to uni, 10 years later I seam to have acquired 2-3 transit van loads of stuff :s

Re: Moving house

The same has happened to me, it was one car when I first came to uni and three years later I'm moving out (in 6 weeks) and I seem to have enough stuff to fill a house. The added fact of having nowhere to put it is causing problems.

Re: Moving house

LOL so true claire. Though lots of our loft stuff is Christmas decorations which we only need once a year, all the suitcases and boxes of old family photos and stuff we can't part with but don't necessarily need on display.

I'm amazed at how much stuff we've accumulated... Moved last year and most of it's in storage until our new house goes through. We've survived a year or so living out of suitcases I can barely remember what we actually own now!

Re: Moving house

I still have unopened boxes 5 years later... I quite like the idea of putting them on ebay as mystery parcels............. and I only moved about 100 yards!!!

Re: Moving house

Moving house last year had to be the most stressful thing I ever did... I swear it almost killed me, I had a lorry full of stuff outside the new pad, with the seller threatening to pull out due to a change of heart!!!!
