New coin designs

Royal mint have just released new designs for the coins which we use everyday. The designs look good but call me old fashined but I like the coins the way they are now. lol! Got so used to them so it might take a while to get used to the new ones. Anyway here is the link to see the new designs. All changeÂ*-Â*Consumer centre gallery. Let me know what you think.

yeah saw this on bbc site, i like them all except the 20p there's a bit too much blank space.

great idea with them being joined together to make the shield though

Euro sucks! And the coins just look plain odd. Nobody is going to put them together on the counter, so why do it?
I prefer the texture of what they have now.

but in this context i was just saying that there to wind you guys up coz i know how touchy the general british public gets about keeping the pound lol :P

Cool, they look wacky... I would lay them all out so i could look at it as 1 big picture! lol, thats just me and some other weirdo's though.

I was under the understanding the world was about 24 thousands miles all the way around, not 397... lol

Errr I hate them with a passion.

They look identical in a way, it will be hard telling some coins apart.

The quid looks awful, it looks like it was cut from some copper sheeting.

Looking through the galleries, it reminded me of some chav bling, not a traditional British coin.

What a mess..

i'd rather stay accustomed with the pound than change to the euro.

i'm sure the new coins will be awesome when they start producing them.

I like these new coins personally. I like the way they all match, sticking to the same theme. And it's really cool when you find a brand new coin (like they normally do on the 50p) with a cool new design on it.
