Freeipodguide.com - banned?

Hi there, I seem to be having trouble and don't understand why this is happening...

Whenever I follow a link to the freeipodguide.com it just comes up with a picture of a puppy and tells me I'm banned! Just tried again from the link in h2w's post about shyam. Even when I click on "register" it still shows the same thing!

I've never signed up to that site so how can I be banned? What's going on?

prob a ip ban against your ISP some usa sites do ban ntl ip ranges due to hackers etc operating on them

unfortunatly a large number of sites do this now, all it takes is one hacker to block acess for 1000's of users

its happened to me a couple of times, but luckalyl the admin's/webmasters would unblock my ip if i was logged in (though it was on a very customised script)

I am not sure what internet provider Amanda has but I have NTL and didn't have any problem getting into Freeipodguide.com.. unless it might be that she is on one server thats been banned and mine hasn't...

Anyway, thought I would let you know..

Im on ntl to, it would be a specific server they banned.

I tried to sign up to hitsuk and found that my specific IP address had been 'registered before'... I knew that I hadn't (nor had my fiancee) so guessed that it was because ntl use DHCP servers which will occasionally change your IP address and so I'd randomly got the IP address of someone that had already signed up.

Luckily a message to their customer support got me an account created manually.

When I try to figure out how often my IP address from ntl changes (not often, been on the same one for at least 12 months) compared with how many ntl customers in my area would sign up to hitsuk (I believe ntl IP addresses are area specific) I realise that something with the same odds as getting 5 numbers in the lottery probably happened... shame it wasn't actually the lottery itself

I can access it! It's in almost the same format as one of the UK sites- can't remember which now! They've got a separate section for newbies and a gallery as well!

Thanks guys! I was just interested to see what h2w was saying about shyam!

EDIT: Still won't get in! Doesn't go to the puppy anymore, just won't load! The front page works, but not the forum.
