I just wonderd if anyone else saw the programme Hugh's chicken run and who will pledge thier support to only eat free range chicken's

Not to eat the intensively farmed 39 day life ones

I've only ever eaten free-range anyway, i'm glad the situation is being made more 'high-profile' now.

i try to , but when supermarkets offer stuff at such low prices and you got a family to feed its hard to stick to buying free range/organic , i think its good that its getting on the tv , hopefully if enough people stop buying the cheaper stuff then the better chicken will become cheaper.

how they minipulate the labels and packaging on certain foods ie cereals

yea i just liked the looks on the faces of the posh people who only ate waitrose/m&s ready meals etc when they discovered they were worse than the tesco value etc and when they showed them the amount of lard they had ate lol

i used to work in the warehouse for kfc so never been keen , i have just had sweet n sour chicken from the chinese tho bet that werent organic lol

Damn you Brian....do they still use chickens from those hellish places? if so, i feel bad and i guess i'm a hypocrite

the way we treat animals in general depresses me- i guess i still eat stuff like KFC because it seems so futile trying to stop poor treatment. I was a veggie for about 10 years, thats how strongly i feel, but ultimately it would seem that doesn't make any difference.

it was beautiful it was cantonese style little chunks in a very light batter covered with sticky sweet n sour sauce and pineapple accommpanied by a plain chow mein followed by a fresh cream chocolate muffin mmmmmmm

Is it true that KFC had to change their name from Kentucky Fried Chicken because the chickens are genetically modified? - I don't know where I heard that though!! (urban myth?)

There was alot of controversial stuff on wikipedia about KFC a while back, was pretty funny some of it!

I saw it, and I've signed up. I'll only be getting free range or the freedom food chickens from now on.

The thing that gets me, is that if this were happening to sheep, or cows then there would be the biggest outcry about it. But because it's just chicken no-one really gives a s**t!

If everyone was to buy free range, then eventually that's all that would be produced, and then the 'normal' price for a chicken would taken to be £3 or £4. I know that for people on low budgets, then 2 for £5 is very tempting. But instead of buying 2 chickens every week or two, just spend £4-£5 every couple of weeks on 1 free range chicken, or one of the Freedom Food ones.

The supermarkets also have to stop giving farmers such a bad deal on their produce.
