Best eBay auction finishing time?

Hey guys,

Got a Wii to sell on eBay over the weekend, but I need to decide what the optimum time would be for the auction to finish. Obviously it'll be a one day auction starting tomorrow, with an ending at some time on Sunday.

What do you think? Morning, afternoon, evening?

Thanks

Evening between 6 and 8.

People wake up late so not morning, the big 4 are playing on sunday on sky so that'll reduce your afternoon audience. They'll then have their dinner and THEN go on ebay.

I'd go with 8.00pm to 9.00pm on a Sunday. eBay is saturated with Wii's at the moment though and the shops are selling bundles, with a game, for £225.

id go with that, it depend on what your selling but yeah with a wii id go any evening between 6 and 8 when parents will primarilly bidding, you could argue they may bid when kids have gone to bed so then possibly 10-11 but i really don't know.

Re: Best eBay auction finishing time?

Tempted to cancel mine and put it on as a 1-day listing. I've only had about 20 views and no watchers so there's nothing to lose!!

EDIT - cancelled it. Cheers for the advice (although it wasn't my thread).

I just put mine on now, ending this time tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I wish I'd have sold it a couple of weeks back, when they were touching £300-350. Ah well..

I used my Amazon vouchers to buy one hoping to make a bit of a profit. Looks as though I'll be luck to break even now!

Re: Best eBay auction finishing time?

Does anyone think it would be worth holding out and listing it to finish sometime later in the week and guaranteeing delivery before Christmas? - Maybe this would get a higher price with people starting to panic that they won't get one in time?

In the meantime do you have anything to lose putting a card in Tesco offering your Wii for the price you want? Not all people wanting a Wii will have Internet and even if you get no joy, what have you lost?
