What 32" HDTV?

Very close to finsihing hdtv.r-i so was wondering what tv to go for. I am getting a 32" tv for my parents to replace the 26" bravia we have currently there. The 32" will go there whilst i take the 26" upstaris to my room to replace my 20" bravia!

Anyway

Samsung LE32R87BD - Amazon.co.uk: Samsung LE32R87BD- 32" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview - Black: Electronics & Photo
Sony KDL32S3000 - Amazon.co.uk: Sony KDL32S3000 - 32'' Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview: Electronics & Photo

The samsung is 25 referrals and the sony is 26 referrals, and i currently have 16 referrals atm + 8 pendings.

So which one is better or is there a better custom order option i should choose?

Ben

Re: What 32" HDTV?

why not keep the 32" for your room and let your parents keep the 26" down stairs

Re: What 32" HDTV?

cause 32" would look stupid in my room and i sit relatively close to my tv when watching it anyway (about 5ft). don't want tv taking up too much space lol

oh and i want to give a nice present, im getting too much for myself atm lol

I'd go for the Sony myself mate ... I have a 32" in my room, it's okay! And my room is quite small too

my room is quite big, but would still look silly with a 32" in it. dont want it taking over lol I'm tempted to go for the samsung myself as it seems to be getting the best reviews

Re: What 32" HDTV?

I've got an older model of the Samsung (and it's only 26") - wish I had one of the newer ones though as they look so much nicer!

Had one problem with it after about a year (it constantly made a high-pitched noise when in standby mode), and had it repaired, but it's just started doing the same thing again - I've read about a few people who've had this problem, but I think it's a pretty uncommon thing....apart from that though, absolutely love it.

Although my brother is about to buy the Sony, so I'll soon get to see what that's like aswell...
