Re: Comic Relief Donation Winner

Wow!!
Well thank you!
This was very particularly nice of the myfreegadget to donate an ipod Shuffle as an incentive.
But I can't possibly accept it...
As much as I like a freebie, it feels wrong to get it over a charity cause.

Lewis, could you please put the money for the ipod toward the target issued by Jon?

Thank you to all of you who participated.

I watched a bit of the Comic Relief program on Friday night, and seeing these children in pain, all that suffering, when I was lying down in my comfortable bed didn't make me realise the situation, because I know very well that terrible things happen everyday around the world, and we just don't know or care about it; it made me aware of how lucky I am. I have an 11 months son, and when I look at him everyday, when I play with him, give him his bath and his dinner, sometimes I am trying to imagine what it would be like if we were in one of those situations. It makes me shiver!!!

Unfortunately, I don't have the mean and probably the courage to do more and be more involved. I am trying to give to charity, whenever I can.

I'm sorry if I sound a little depressing, but it's late, I'm a bit overwhelmed, and my gorgeous boy will probably wake me up at 5.00am in the morning.

I wish you all a good night and thanks again.

P.S: I'm not sure when they will stop taking donations, but it looks like it is still possible to sponsor eXceem on http://www.myrednoseday.com/exceem.
So if you feel like it, even without the incentive, maybe we can get a little closer to that target...

I have just had an idea!!!

How about you auction the gift with all the proceeds going to comic relief? We might get more for it on the exceem forum bidding than the actual price of the prize?

It belongs to him now..you really shouldn't volunteer other people's things for auction...

P.S. he already said he's giving it for someone (Jon for soemthing can't remember) Read up ^

You don't mean to put the ipod on an auction website and to have eXceem members bidding on it to increase the final bid, because I'm pretty sure that's an illegal idea to advertise. On top of that, I don't think anybody would buy an item for at a cost greater than the RRP price.
But I might have misunderstood.

Anyway thanks everybody for your posts.

And I'll never say it enough, if you haven't done it already, you can still donate on http://www.myrednoseday.com/exceem. It's not too late!!

Lewis, could you let us know when you'll add the money from the prize so we can see where we're at target wise?

EDIT: I'm not actually getting the prize at all, I have asked Lewis from myfreegadget to donate the equivalent value onhttp://www.myrednoseday.com/exceem.
