eXceem - Good idea for all people with Home made websites

As many of you might know, Google Pagerank ranks your website by a few factors, but most importantly how many links exist on the internet which point towards your page.
This gave me an idea-
why don't we all create a massive link web to boost all our pageranks to the first few pages of any search.
This would involve only making a simple html file with a list of text links to other websites, and then updating your site-map to incorperate this new page.

Say if 100 people do this, with everyone linking to the other 99, our positions in google will increase very very quickly!

Thoughts?

meaning arguements might break out about whos top and whos bottom of the links page?

no, i dont think it would. you see, the links page would not be used. it would just exist on the domain and in the sitemap. eg.
www.yourdomain.com/Linknetwork.html
something like that...

and it could be linked to the rest of your site via a hyperlink with text colour the same as the background eg white on white.

I guess it might work, but the initial pagerank of each site will be small, and 100 links isn't a great deal so I wouldn't expect it to have a huge effect.

If there were 100 eXceemers willing, do you think there would be many other sites wanting to compete? It would really just give you and your competition the same increase leaving you on square one.

i was thinking about that, but i don't think it will be that much of a problem. Everyone uses slightly different key words in their meta tags, so this would give some variety. Also, this would be useful for saying things like "search google for xbox 360 and mine is the third one down" to people who aren't very web smart.

i know the idea is not foolproof but i've been trying deperately to think of ways to increase my page rank and this would not just benefit me but everyone else on the list too. Add an exceem link, and it benefits exceem as well.

Listen guys! There is an even simpler way of doing it.

Just involves one person making a PHP page. The simple script involves:

a form at the bottom to "Add your link" it checks that the URL and "Link Title" do not already exist. If not, it adds them to the "pool of links".

The "pool of links" then automaticaly gets generated by this page, then everyone with a website adds a link to their site/links.html (with this page included using javascript or some other method).

The "pool of links" is also randomised so that your position in the list changes daily or however programed (maybe on refresh).

Simple and easy to do (i am just too busy till wed to help more on this now you know the path to follow!).

I am in, i will list about 4-5 sites on it and have them return the favor. Maybe we should use a new domain name (i have webhosting, well i am a webhost and will even provide a domain name if no one else wants to buy one!). So that everyone links to the page and everyone is linked to from the page.

hold your horses!!
do you know for sure that this will work? surely drawing the same page from one domain name will only count as one referring source? and i doubt it javascript would work either because google trawlers only recoginise clear text dont they?
