   | The Official Saddam Execution Video.I have no idea whether I should post this here or not, but i'm going to anyway. This video has completely changed my opinion on this whole thing. Poor saddam, but what do you expect... offcourse it is cruel, but... comeon it's Iraq. I strongly warn you not to watch this, if you are faint hearted. This has different effects on different people but if you think you can handle it, then go ahead watch it. You need to be a member of youtube before you can watch it, as you must be over 18. I've taken this link out for the time being, as I really don't think it is appropriate for here, if Jon or whoever wants to over rule me, they can put it back. -- Matt.  | Re: The Official Saddam Execution Video.It was a bad cameraman, but you get the general idea. I was for the hanging so i'm not too affected by this video but, since it does show him dead, anyone who doesn't like this kind of thing don't look.

Edit: I haven't seen the official video, if you want to post the link feel free. But even after watching that one, I don't feel I want to watch the official one. |

| Re: The Official Saddam Execution Video.The offical video up untill the actual release of the trapdoor is availiable everywhere (with no sound) and was broadcast on Iraq TV the morning of the execution. Now that the mobile phone video has been released there is no real reason for the authorities to show the rest of the ‘official’ video as now even the sceptics have had their theories that he could be still alive laid to rest. And after the embarrassment caused by the audio on the mobile video I very much doubt they want a clearer and higher resolution version surfacing

It hasn't actually been the first time I've witnessed an execution so it's not weird to me to actually watch it. A couple of years ago some guys a couple of years older than us were watching a beheading in our IT rooms so naturally a crowd developed around the screen. I wasn't prepared for what I was about to see so it left me feeling sick for about 3 days. That and having spent a week working in a vets witnessing cows having caeserians (sp?) etc has left me neutral to videos such as this.
