I advertised this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3AIT&rd=1 Making sure I stated very clear that it wasnt for a Playstation but someone paid £60 odd quid for it. If he/she pays for it what do I do? Is it his fault he didnt read it properly and paid for nothing...

well it is against ebays T+C to sell links on ebay, so all it takes is for the seller to complain to ebay, and if ebay investigate, they may well suspend your account.

I wasnt selling anything though. If you look at the description it says do not bid as it is free information. It wasnt a bid for a link.

ebay will view it as selling a link though. best bit is to contact the seller, cancel the bid (you can do this via my ebay) and hold of posting more auctions for a while

the mean side would eb to take the cash and print out the link on paper and post it to them :P

The rightful thing to do is cancel the auction.

No - but if they pay with paypal you can decline the transaction - send the winner a mail as well stating it was only a link as mentioned on the page.

looking at the bid history it appears that one ebay user tried to bid, the new user (who won the auction) always over bidded her

ther are some ebay users who sign up to new accoutns to prevent people winning such items, i bet if you request payment from the winner your reply will be along the lines of **** off.
