Autocrediter....

Hi,

Following the launch of the KUDOSv4 design this morning (early hours), the Autocrediter has not been running.

I have recoded a whole new autocrediter but havent tested it enough to launch. My original plan was to sort it last night but the launch took so long I just couldnt face it!

Therefore no credits will be applied until this is fixed, which should be later this evening, or possibly tomorrow.

Please dont worry. All your activity is tracked and soon as I switch it on, the credits will be applied.

UPDATE:

I am working on this but having a few testing issues. Spending most of my time testing.

Its working fine. Just a few more things to test then itll be live.

UPDATE:

Im sorry to say I still haven't got the Autocrediter going.

Been working on it all day, on and off, but Im still not satisfied that its tested thoroughly enough.

Its basically there, but I cant test one more thing because my local KUDOS setup is trashed. I mimic the KUDOS databases locally so I can mess around with them and test stuff without risking the real databases. But this afternoon they stopped working and Ive been trying to sort them since.

Complicated privileges stuff. Too tired to keep going so Im going to grab a bit of sleep then crack on tomorrow.

Just to advise, loads of credits have tracked, and they will be applied tomorrow, come what may! Even if I have to manually enter them in the DB!

I've said elsewhere that I love the design but wouldn't it have made sense to do the testing before launch? Or can it only been done now it is actually live?

My only other minor concern is the "coming soon" stuff. Kinda gives the feel of a new site rather than one established for three years.

Guess we will see when the crediting happens, just hope you appreciate all feedback, good and bad.

I spent sooooooooo many hours testing and fixing. You wouldn't believe how long.

The autocrediter was already done and good to go but it was hard to test when the sites weren't live. Ofcourse when they went live loads more problems arose.

Most of the issues I had yesterday were my end and nothing to do with actually code. And the testing I'm doing is really just belt and braces to make sure you guys don't suddenly get bombarded with 50,000 emails from a crazy autocrediter. I'm a bit too fussy but have rushed ahead before and paid the penalty!

I feel like this is a new site too! From a technical stand point it is, all the code has changed.

It'll come good, but there aren't enough hours in the day for me to do everything I want to do, annoyingly.

tbh mate, with the amount of traffic you get it will not be too long till your back on your feet again
