Just wanted to give a quick update for you guys on where the new design is and how much longer you have to wait...

Im VERY aware that I promised this a while ago. Unfortunatley my life took a dramatic turn for the worse a couple of years ago and this is now coming to a head this year. All this means is that I have had limited time this year to invest in the new design. All my time goes on running the sites, and theres very little time left over unfortunately.

However, things are coming good now and I have spent the last couple of weeks working solid on the new design and it should be ready within the next few weeks I hope.

The way I code is to push the limits of what I know. This takes longer but results in very optimised and efficient code, with cool interfaces and artwork etc. Bare with me, itll be worth it.

90% of the codebase of the site has been rewritten, including literally 1,000s of lines of JavaScript. All takes time.

This is the also my excuse for not being on eXceem quite so much as I used to. When the new design is done I hope to re-involve myself in the eXceem community.

I will consider a move if the site redesign is as good as it sounds. I'm really hoping to get a higher referral rate.

Are you considering adding the functionality to choose between different landing pages?

KUDOS network already has that functionality. You can customise the order of the gifts and you can add and remove gifts as you see fit.

This is available from the Refer Friends page currently, although the placement of this feature will change shortly.

Did you mean something else?

I was thinking more about having the option to send them straight to the signup form, or to the offers page, or to the list of gifts...all under our referral link

Maybe sending them straight to the sign up page is a possibility. But I don't think it would be good for the user. Ill give it some thought.

Getting good ratios at the moment. Also the fact that I can order the gifts shown is also a very attractive feature.

The only thing though is that when you are choosing which gifts to show it doesn't say what they are (e.g. I couldn't distinguish between the ipads), I had to view the image data and use the image name to choose the order.

I assume youre talking about the Customise KUDOS feature... If so you can hover over the images and a description will appear.

Ill be working on improving this feature this week for the new design. Had it planned for today but something else has come up.

Yeah it's not essential but if it's possible that would be fantastic. It existed for a short while at FJ and while it was there it increased my signup rate massively and my green rate too. I guess the issue would be ensuring that all people referring others have explained adequately what they need to do
