Kudos: Sig Images Are Now Cached For 12 Hours

Signature Images from all kudos sites are now cached for 12 hours.

There wasn't really any major problems from the sigs being instantly generated, but the server was doing a lot of work unnecessarily.

For example, if you had 50 referrals, it was having to check each ref to see if they had done an offer, which meant checking through the credits log. This is pretty HUGE as you can imagine. This was happening every time a sig image was downloaded! Sometimes 100's of times a minute (especially for forums). Actually worked out at millions of calculations during peak internet times for something so simple.

So, short story is, when the sig is first downloaded it will be saved on the kudos server. Then this saved sig image will be served to anyone that calls it for 12 hours. After 12 hours, the old one is deleted and a new one is created.

Obviously means that they won't now show updates instantly. Will code something in the members area so you can refresh your image at some point.

cool, no problems for me anyway you could cache for 12 years and I wouldn't notice
