Just thought Id update you as I haven't been on here much over past week. (still been answering tickets and ordering - only death would stop that!).

I had gastroenteritis for a week. Just got over it and decided to go Mountain Biking with some mates in Thetford. I was tackling a plank run and fell off. Cracked a bone in my elbow

Should heal up pretty quick so nothing to worry about.

Just thought I would share this with you

This wasn't the actual course but this is basically what a plank run is. I made that name up by the way. Haven't a clue what's it called!

The bike is fine, THANK GOD! I nearly broke my neck and my arm and my head, but it could have been worse. I could have broken my new bike. I brought a new helmet and scuffed it! Good job I had it on eh? lol

Damn, unlucky! I'm just recovering from several skateboard injuries (scarred up left knee, right one still numb with nerve damage and fluid with and something solid floating around beneath the cap) so bought a decent bike in the hope that I would start mountain biking!
Seen so many injury threads on various MTB forums recently though, I'm not sure if I picked the right sport

Depends what you're like I guess. I just tend to go for it even it its too hard or too high or whatever. I worry about the consequences afterwards! lol more fun that way. Might rethink my strategy now though

i bought a jump bike hoping that it could take a bit, so was hoping to adopt the same attitude!
